Planning a Vacation? Have a family emergency?
If you ever have an emergency, vacation or a party, you can always count on us to watch your birds! We board birds 365 days a year, including all Holidays!
There's no need to stress over who's going to look after your birds. You can always count on us to look after them! We ensure a safe, healthy environment for your bird to stay while you are gone.
Here are some services we provide to keep you and your bird comfortable during their stay with us:
- Your bird will be given baths, fed and given fresh water daily.
- Our Bed & Breakfast is a separate room in our store which is strictly for employees and customers picking up/dropping off birds to be boarded.
- If requested, we can trim your bird for you while you are gone so it is freshly trimmed by the time you take it home.
- If it is too much of a hassle to bring your own cage, you can use one of ours.
What do I bring for my bird while it is at Birds of Paradise?
Whether you decide to bring your own cage or not, here are some ideas on how to make your bird's stay with us as comfortable as possible.
- If you feed a type of food that we carry here at our store, we can provide food while your bird is here with us. If you feed a product that we do not carry, we encourage you to bring your own food to prevent the bird from stressing over a changed diet.
- As a health concern, we do not provide toys for birds that are boarding with us. It is up to you to bring your bird's toys to keep it happy and occupied while it is here. You can also purchase some toys for their stay and receive 10% off any toy.
- If you feed your bird extra treats, we ask that you bring those with your bird and you can request that we feed the treats to your bird at whatever quantity or scheduled that your bird is used to.
**Birds are extremely susceptible to weather conditions. It is very important to protect your bird from the elements, especially during transportation. Cover them with a blanket if it's a cold or windy day and preheat your car. Keep them hydrated and cool on a hot day!

I was born January 9, 2024. You can visit me at the store anytime my Person John is there. I spend a lot of time with him, traveling all over the place. I spend a lot of time with my bestie Sadie although you don't see her at the store much. I do love my treats!! Lots and Lots of treats! When you come to the store, you should ask the person up front if you can give me a treat :) I love meeting new people! |
